Gli ‘Arctic Monkeys’ hanno dominato anche gli ‘NME Awards 2008′. La band di Sheffield ha vinto come ‘Best British Band’ e si è aggiudicata i premi ‘Best Track’ con ‘Fluorescent Adolescent’ e ‘Best Video’ con ‘Teddy Picker’. Il pluripremiato “Myths Of The Near Future” dei ‘Klaxons’ ha vinto come ‘Best Album’. I ‘Killers’ sono stati acclamati ‘Best International Band’ mentre i ‘Muse’ hanno trionfato nella categoria ‘Best Live Band’. Premi anche per due artisti amatissimi dalla rivista inglese: Pete Doherty (‘Hero Of The Year’) e Kate Nash (‘Best Solo Artist’). Il premio come ‘Best New Band’ è stato vinto dagli ‘Enemy’ mentre il premio speciale ‘John Peel’ per l’innovazione musicale se lo sono aggiudicato i ‘Radiohead’.
